Anna Gillspie, one of the South West's most inventive and versatile artists. filled the gallery with a new solo show. Featured works included intensely emotional representations of the human form made from materials as diverse as masking tape, bronze, clay, and 'wrapped works' of plaster bound in bandages. Her latest works feature figures inspired by the natural environment: a fusion of traditional and natural materials such as acorns, as well as more political works fashioned with found objects. Proving her versatility, a range of prints and drawings mingled with the sculptures to make this a most intriguing show. ---------- |
